Bill Tillman, 81, of Weir, died at 9:05 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025 at Arma Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arma, Kansas.

Bill was born June 28, 1944 in Pittsburg, Kansas, a son of Mack and Viola (Dubllin) Tillman. He graduated from Columbus High School and had some college classes.

He married Janice Millard on June 6, 1964 in Nashville, Missouri. They divorced.

Bill worked as a farmer and a banker and he enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, old country music, church, and watching the KU Jayhawks.

He was a member of the Christian Church in Nashville.

Survivors include his sons, Andy Tillman, and his wife, Peggy, of Asbury, Missouri and Jeff Tillman, and his wife, Barbara, of Pittsburg, Kansas; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Herb Bone, and his wife, Greta, of Girard; a sister, Betty Cooper of Ohio.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carolyn Burton and Marrion DeLange.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Pastor Don Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., Thursday until service time at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.

So very sorry Betty and Herb for the loss of your brother Bill. As a kid, Bill and your dad Mack were always teasing me. But I knew it meant they cared about me!!
Also sending prayers of comfort for Bill´s sons, families and those of his nieces and nephews.
He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. I know I will miss his laughter. He was always happy and laughing.
