William J. "Bill" Verbicky, 78, of Saugus, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill. Born and raised in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John Verbicky and Ann (Carabello) Verbicky.
Bill was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School. After spending his early years in Lawrence, he later resided in Burlington before making his home in Saugus. Dedicated his career to the meat processing industry, retiring as the plant manager. Throughout his life, Bill was known for his strong work ethic and his humble, modest nature. He lived simply, finding joy in life's everyday moments and in the company of those he loved most.
A devoted sports fan, Bill cheered passionately for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics. He also had a deep appreciation for music, especially classic rock, which brought him great comfort and happiness. He enjoyed time spent at York Beach, creating cherished memories with family and friends. Above all, Bill's greatest joy was his family, and he treasured every moment with his beloved grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Ashley Famiglietti and her wife Courtney of Andover, MA, and Annie Rutsky and her husband James of Latham, NY; his cherished grandchildren, Harper and Jackson; and his sister, Kathleen Lippe and her husband Robert.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Verbicky, Jr.
William will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory bay be made to the Jimmy Fund – Dana Farber, Inc., 375 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will follow on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private.
