Bill Wibley, 63, of Marysville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his residence.

A 1980 graduate of Marysville High School, he first worked at Eljer’s and retired from Honda where he had worked in the weld shop for over 30 years. He was a member of the Marysville Eagles #3506. Having an ornery disposition, he loved spending time with his family, building Legos with his son and his grandson, and using his gift of being “handy” to help family and friends any time he was needed. He enjoyed watching racing and football, and was an avid fan of the University of Michigan, the Cincinnati Bengals and Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Born April 14, 1961 in Marysville, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Mary F. (Milton) Wibley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a stepson, Russell Bright, Jr.; a brother, John Wibley; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Drumm, Richard “Dicky” Bolenbaugh and Vaughn Organ.

Bill is survived by his son, Cody (Jarisah) Wibley of Raymond; grandsons, Callan Carl and Avett Wibley; stepdaughters, Jennifer, Jamie and Jody; his sisters, Rosetta Drumm of Marysville, Patty Bolenbaugh of Urbana and Betty Organ of Marysville; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Wilson Funeral Home. Services to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the funeral home. Rev. Theresa Schrecengost will officiate and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. In honor of Bill, the family would like to encourage those attending to wear a shirt or jersey of their favorite sports team or racecar driver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help with the unexpected expenses.
