Bill Young

William Harold "Bill" Young, of Albany, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2023. He was 89.
Born in Price, Utah on September 13, 1934. Bill was raised by his parents, Frank & Florence Young, one of 5 children preceded in death by his sister Shirley Pepper, Joyce Grimnes and brother Frank Young & is survived by his sister Candy Birch and two daughters. Bill loved his two girls Kim Charlson of Watertown Massachusetts, and Krystal Smith of Salem, Oregon with all his heart. Bill was an avid golfer and played almost every day after he retired from a successful career traveling all over the world working in the grass seed industry. He also loved spending his free time outside, keeping his home and yard immaculate which was his passion. Bill's quick wit and way of making you always feel special will be missed by many who knew and loved him. His family is at peace knowing he was greeted by the familiar faces of family and friends at heaven's gate.
The family wishes to thank the Albany Brookdale Memory Care staff for all their support as well as Bristol Hospice for their thoughtful care and service in our father's final days. There will be no memorial service as this was Bill's wishes, but a celebration of life will be hosted in 2024 by family and friends during Bill's favorite season, the Spring.
