Billie Marie Balthrop, age 88, died peacefully Friday, May 23, 2025 at her home in Gordonville, TX surrounded by her loved ones.
Billie was born on February 23, 1937 in Muenster, Texas to Juanita Davis Murphy and Elmer “Shorty” Murphy. She lived her life, and found great joy in serving others. She worked many years in nursing and later in retail management. She impacted everyone with her smile and infectious laughter.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Eddowes, her second husband James Balthrop, her son Glenn Eddowes, her son Larry Eddowes, her daughter Karla Hammock, her sisters Betty Murphy and Nell Bowlin, her brother Glenn Murphy, her grandchild Christopher Dulock, and her great grandchild Colette Wesson.
Billie is survived by her children Barbara & Eddie Dulock, Brenda and Joey Paris, David Eddowes, Sherry & Gerald Mandrell, and five stepchildren, her brothers John Murphy and Gene Murphy, her sisters Barbara Bruce and Sue Powell, 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11:00am at Rosston Cemetery in Rosston Texas.
