     Billie K. "Bill" Duncan, 77, of Newbern, TN passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at his residence. He was born in McLeansboro, IL on August 21, 1948 the son of Rev. Dr. Billie J and Ruby Fern (Gunter) Duncan. Bill graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1966 and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture and Soil Science. From 1968 to 1969 , Bill faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy.

     On August 8, 1970, Bill married Donna K. Adams. Together, they resided in Carmi while Bill was the Warehouse Supervisor for Martin and Bayley. In 1991, they moved to Newbern, TN and purchased and operated Duncan’s Foodmart around Western Tennessee.

     Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna; two children, Michael K. (Jessica) Duncan of Dyersburg, TN and Angela K. Taylor of Newbern, TN; two granddaughters, Lillian Kate Duncan and Madelyn Grace Taylor; and two sisters, Carole Robbins of Newburgh, IN and Donna Fish of Northbrook, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

     Funeral Services for Billie K. "Bill" Duncan, 77, of Newbern, TN will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025 at the McLeansboro First General Baptist Church, 1007 S. Jackson St., McLeansboro, IL 62859. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi with Full Military Honors by the Carmi VFW and American Legion, Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 12:30 p.m. at McLeansboro First General Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billie's memory to the McLeansboro First General Baptist Church, 1007 S. Jackson St., McLeansboro, IL 62859 or can be sent to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St, Carmi, IL 62821 who is assisting the family with arrangements.
