Billie was married to the love of her life, Edward Nance, on July 6, 1953. They were blessed to work alongside each other as Medical Technologists. After retiring, Billie was able to combine her love of reading with her genuine adoration of her community by working in the Goodman Public Library.
Billie was a devoted member of the Goodman Methodist Church and was honored to serve as the President of United Methodist Women of North Alabama in her earlier years. She was a true ambassador for the town of Goodman, cherishing the life and friendships she made there. She was fiercely independent and was lucky to have an incredible support system, including Tammy Sanders and Diane Greer. If you knew Billie, you were family. And if you didn't know her, it was only a matter of time before she treated you as such.
She is survived by her children Darrell Nance and wife Marla, Steve Nance and wife Tricia, and Laura Nance; grandchildren Ashley Nance Connor and husband, Tyler, Emily Nance, Jocelyn Nance, Shane Nance, and Emily Gore; and great grandson Whit McCrory Connor.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Inez McCrory, husband, Edward Nance, and grandson, Andrew Nance.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday October 26, 2024 at Seneasha Church in Goodman. Burial to follow, laying Billie to rest in the Seneasha Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Church.
