Billie Dwain O’Quinn, 69 years old, of Horn Lake, MS, beloved husband, and father, passed away May 27, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with cancer.
Dwain was born on July 5,1952 to James Hartwell O’Quinn and Jackie Gamble O’Quinn in Alma, Ga. Dwain graduated from Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Florida in 1970. After Graduating Dwain worked in the intermodal transportation industry for a total of 50 years.
In 1993, Dwain met Tracy while they both worked at Transus Intermodal in Jacksonville, and married November 4, 1994. Dwain and Tracy had a lovely family of three children, Spring O’Quinn, Josh O’Quinn, and Alexandra Bolen.
Dwain loved his wife and children and loved his family so much. He loved Jesus and made sure the people that knew him knew it. He was so grateful for the friends he had made, he loved and appreciated them all. He was an avid sports fan. He loved to travel, whether it was a short trip or a long one it made no difference to him. He enjoyed many trips with friends and family. He only wished that he could have taken a few more.
Dwain is preceded in death by his father, James Hartwell O’Quinn. He is survived by his mother, Jackie O’Quinn; and five siblings, Lindell O’Quinn (Sharon), Ray O’Quinn (Phyllis), Wanda Gibson, Ronnie O’Quinn, and Marcia Turner (Wes); many nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation will be held Thursday June 2, 2022, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS from 5pm to 8pm.
The funeral service will be held On Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Watkin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Church Cemetery.
Mr. Dwain will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Active Pallbearers are George Medina, Clay Shaw, Colby Barber, Ryan Turner, Dylan Turner, and Gabriel Henson.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation at www.alpha1.org.
