Billie Rutledge Obituary
Born on August 29, 1936, in Brownfield to Ewell and Beatrice Stockton, Billie passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 87.
Billie was married 60 years to her husband, Bob, until his passing in 2017. She was a devoted mother and a cherished "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billie was an avid quilter and enjoyed sharing her creative talents with those she loved.
Billie was a woman of faith and actively served in the churches she attended. She worked as a bookkeeper, beginning at Goodpasture Grain Elevator in Brownfield. After being a full-time mother for many years, Billie worked as a physician's office manager in Tifton, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ewell and Beatrice Stockton; husband, Robert Rutledge, Jr.; son, Benny Rutledge; and sister, Glyndola Rowden.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ehrhardt (Robert); grandchildren, Angela Rutledge, Austin Rutledge, Megan Fisackerly (Michael), Devin Janes (Ben); great-grandchildren, Danielle, Luke, and Elijah Fisackerly.
