Billy Rice Beevers

Memorial services for Billy Rice Beevers will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Delhi Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Chris Wright officiating.

A time of Remembrance and Fellowship will be held in the church Green Room prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Cleveland, Mississippi, Billy lived a life defined by skill and excellence. He built his career as an ag pilot, logging more than 22,000 hours and earning the respect of farmers and fellow pilots throughout Northeast Louisiana.

Flying was not just his profession; it was his passion. He loved his work and never wanted to stop flying. When the time came to step out of the cockpit, he did it reluctantly, but knowing it was the right decision. Even then, he remained involved in the business, working in the office up until his health declined. Aviation was woven into the fabric of who he was.

When he wasn't flying, Billy could be found on the water as he loved the quiet challenge of sailing. He also loved his Harley, enjoying the same sense of independence. Whether it was flying, sailing or riding, he was most at home with his hands on the controls.

Billy was modest, yet very intelligent. He was the kind of man who could figure out or fix almost anything. As a woodworker, his craftsmanship was extraordinary - every piece built with attention to detail. His work reflected the same discipline he carried in the air. If he built it, it was going to be built right.

A faithful member of Delhi Presbyterian Church, Billy lived his faith through consistency and action more than words. He will be missed by many.

He is preceded by his parents, Wilborn Beevers and Jane Rice Beevers, and his daughter, Casi Blaylock.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Philley Beevers; his son, Tyler Beevers and wife Leigh; his son, Corey Black and wife Amanda; and his daughter, Sierra Black.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Reagan Watson; Baylee Goodman and husband Tyler; Chandon Black and wife Jessica; Madison Blaylock; Zoe Brown; Christian Beevers; Shelby Tull and husband Davis; Kierstyn Kitchens; Seth Kestranek; and Sammy Kestranek.

His great-grandchildren are Millie Tull and Lakin Tull, Aubree Alarie and Olivia Black.

He is further survived by his sister, Bonnie Cunningham and husband Wayne; and his brother, Jerry Paul Beevers and wife Trang.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
