Billy Bittle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Olmstead Funeral Home - Heber Springs on Nov. 24, 2024.
Billy Ray Bittle, age 93, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on November 22, 2024. Born on December 13, 1930 in Higden, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Harvey Lee Bittle and Sarah Mack Bullard Bittle.
Billy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed going to the horse races with his buddies, watching football, and was an avid gardener. Outside was his happy place. He loved doing yardwork so much that he eventually traded his Toyota truck for his Bad Boy Mower as his favorite means of transportation. He loved eating Ding Dongs with Raiden and watching Raiden fish. He loved making Raiden jealous by playing with Saylor, and flying on day trips with Gary and going to Gary's cook-outs at the hanger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Rizel, Alton, and Goldman, and his sisters Chester, Hester, Opal, Alma, Estelle and Irene.
He is survived by his wife Eloise Ann Jones Bittle, his son Gary Bittle and his wife Susan, his daughter Gail Rose and her husband Roger, his sister Geneva King, his grandchildren Megan Yoder, Derek Woodson and his wife Carly, Bailey Dearmond and her husband Philip, and Matthew Woodson, and his great-grandchildren Raiden and Saylor. Mr. Bittle is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Monday November 25, 2024 at Olmstead Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm with Pastor John Cates officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice or Mount Devonshire Church.
