Billy W. Bloxton, 85, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from an aggressive form of lung cancer. He is survived by Sheila, his wife of 62 years; his daughter, Trina Lewis (John) from Knoxville, TN; his son Jeff (Michelle) from Woodbridge; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Peggy Jordan, Oak Hill, WV; 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon Bloxton and Sally Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born and raised in Summerlee, WV and graduated from Collin's High School, in Oak Hill, WV in 1958. He joined the army after high school and served three years. After his stint in the army, he moved to Falls Church, VA and worked in sales. He married Sheila Miller, from Scarbro, WV in 1961, and they raised their family in Northern Virginia.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Dorothy Bloxton; his brothers, Jim, J.B., and Tom; and his sisters, Alice Osborne, and Deanna DiPretoro.
A memorial service will be held on August 25th, 2024, from 10am-12pm at the Mountcastle-Turch Funeral Home at 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA.
Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
