Billy R. "Bill" Bryant, age 85, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening, September 30, 2025. A beloved resident of Morgantown, Bill has now gone home to his Heavenly reward.

Born on April 22, 1940, in Linton, Indiana, Bill was the son of the late Raymond and Thelma (Weddle) Bryant. After attending Spencer High School, he went on to faithfully serve his country as a Seaman Apprentice on the USS Marias of the United States Navy. Bill retired in 2005 from National Starch Company in Indianapolis where he worked as a Machine Operator for over 35 years.

Bill was a devoted member and Deacon of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, where he found great joy in fellowship and reading God's Word daily. His unwavering faith guided every aspect of his life, from his service to others to the quiet moments spent in prayer and reflection.

A man who appreciated the simple blessings in life, Bill loved fishing, camping, and keeping his yard in pristine condition. He was often found enjoying old westerns or feeding the hummingbirds that gathered in his yard. Above all, he cherished his family and found great delight in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his loving children: Jeff (Chris) Bryant, Denny (LaVonne) Bryant, and Darrin Bryant, all of Morgantown, and Angie Hall of Tahoka, Texas; his sister-in-law, Debbie Mitchem of Morgantown; grandchildren, Levi (Misty) Bryant of Morgantown, Hannah (Brandon) Gregory of Vici, OK, Jeremiah (Angel) Bryant of Piedmont, OK, Adam (Reagan) Bryant of Dallas, TX, Eli Bryant of Morgantown, Michael Bryant of Indianapolis, Melinda (Jeff) McCurdy of Brown County, Matt Bryant of Brown County, Casey (Kyla) Hall of Tahoka, TX, Carissa (Brandon) Hardaway of Ft. Worth, TX, Haley (Shane) Moss of Ripley, OK, Maegan (Dalton) Vinyard of Vici, OK and Tanner Hall of Morgantown; and 34 great-grandchildren, as well as many other beloved family members, including siblings Pam (Clayton Wayne Buck) Robertson of Gosport, Frieda (Gabby) England of Martinsville, Steve (Darla) Bryant of Paragon, and Mike (Helen) Bryant of Gosport; and close personal friend, Richard Snider of Morgantown, who served as a Deacon as well.

He was reunited in glory with his loving wife of 66 years, Janet E. (Williams) Bryant, whom he married on January 2, 1962, in Trafalgar. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son, Billy Ray Bryant; son-in-law, Randy Hall; granddaughter, Bethany Bryant; and siblings Jim, David, and Art Bryant, Sharon Downdy, Patricia Bryant, and Joyce Bryant.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Monday, October 6th with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Rodger Bunch. Bill will be laid to rest at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military rites presented by the United States Navy and the Martinsville American Legion & Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, 2896 W. Cottonwood Road, Morgantown, IN 46160.
