Billy Vernell Buracker, Jr., 72, of Shenandoah, Virginia, passed away June 13, 2025. Born March 4, 1953, in Luray, he was the son of the late Billy Sr. and Eunice Helen Nease Buracker.
Billy was raised in Stanley and graduated from Page County High School with the class of 1972. He operated Brushworks of Virginia until his retirement following many years as a painting contractor. Billy was also known throughout the sports community as a basketball coach to many. He was a wonderful husband and father and above all, Billy had a great love for the Lord.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Kite Buracker; a son, Christopher Buracker and wife, Cassy; two daughters, Stacy Corbin and husband, Josh, Leigh Ann Pettit and husband, Jason; a step son, Aaron Good and wife, Michelle; a step daughter, Samantha Umberger; two sisters, Kathryn Lam and Nancy Jo Buracker; grandchildren, Jacob Corbin and wife, Cameron, Laney Hasse and husband, Troy; great-grandchildren, Emery Corbin and Luke Hasse; step grandchildren, Haleigh Good, Courtney Good, Addison Good, Taylor Umberger, Carter Umberger, Carmen Umberger, Paxton Umberger, Taite Umberger; step great-grandchild, Laylah Good and many extended family members.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Bethlehem Church in Stanley with Pastor Matt Caton and Pastor Andy Seastrom officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Andy Seastrom Ministries, or Bethlehem Church, 1108 Kite Hollow Road, Stanley, VA 22851.
