Billy was born in Springfield Missouri on June 1st, 1954, to William and Letha Burnett.
He worked for his father at Northside Electric, rewinding electric motors by hand until the time of his retirement.
Billy was preceded in death by his father William Burnett.
Billy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Chris Burnett, 4 children, Melissa Wiles and husband Tony, Nicole Burnett, Steven Brown, and Richard Burnett, all of Springfield Missouri. His mother Letha Burnett and sister Pam Smallwood. Eight grandchildren, Tonyray Wiles, Jordan Wiles, Brandon Wiles, Jerry Suntken, LaCie Suntken, Nauvianna Suntken, and four great-grandchildren.
Billy Joe loved hunting in his younger years with his dad, nephew, and friends. He will be missed by all who loved him.
