Stephen Dale Lambert, born May 14, 1951, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Regina; his daughters: Stephanie Runion, Hope Malan, Sarah Lauer, Emily Atkinson, and Hannah Lambert; his mother, Muriel Scarborough; five siblings: Sharon, Trish, Ruth, David, and Phillip; fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert, stepfather Leon, grandson Alex, and sister Kathy.

Steve enjoyed the outdoors and was a keen hunter and fisherman. Throughout his life, he had many hobbies, including knife-making, reading, and tending to his land in Phillipsburg, MO, where he resided for over 30 years. He loved animals, especially horses, dogs, and cats. Watching movies and television was one of his favorite pastimes, and he enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock. One of the things he loved most was spending a day at the river. He spent many years as a truck driver and enjoyed seeing the country, bringing back tales of interest from his trips.

Anywhere he went, he was the smartest person in the room. Steve loved to talk and had a sarcastic wit that made him wholly unique. He loved his family dearly, and he will be sorely missed. His legacy and memory will endure in the wisdom he imparted, the laughs he provided, and the lessons he taught.

The family invites you to enjoy a meal and reminisce at a celebration of his life, held at the Wallace Center in Lebanon, MO, on September 13 at 1 PM.
