Gregory Richard Williams, 49, of Springfield, MO, passed away on August 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by the family that was his greatest joy and achievement. He was born on May 6, 1976 to Cathy (Rouse) and John Williams in Nevada, MO. He grew up in Liberal, MO where he graduated from Liberal High School in 1994.

Greg met the love of his life, Sara, in February of 2009 and together they share two amazing boys, Gavin and Grady.

Greg's idea of a best day was being on the water with Sara and his boys. It didn't matter what was biting, if anything at all, as long as they were all together in the boat. His family was the most important and cherished thing to him and that was more than evident in how he lived his life.

Greg was a spontaneous man that kept everyone on their toes and brought life to every room he stepped foot in. He brought such joy to so many people and had a knack for making you laugh until you cried. A stranger to none, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

If he never threw a firecracker at your feet, count yourself lucky.

No one would have found a more dedicated fan than Greg. He loved the Chiefs and Royals second only to his family.

Greg is survived by his love, Sara Davis; children Gavin and Grady Williams; father John Williams of Van Buren, AR, and sister Kristin (James) Lea of Van Buren, AR.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Williams, and infant sister, Kaleigh Renee Williams.

A service in Greg's honor will be held in the coming months.
