Funeral service for Mr. Billy L. Chunn will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the Stephenstown Community. Visitation will be held from 10 AM-2 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Chunn, 69, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Choctaw Residential Center. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Stephenstown Community. He was a retired welder with Thompson Welding. Mr. Chunn enjoyed watching westerns and was interested in restoring guns and knives.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pam Springer Chunn; parents, Hubard H. Chunn and Alice Marie Beckham Chunn; brothers, Eugene Chunn and Jerry Chunn; (2) nephews, Jeff Trapp and Jamie Trapp; (1) niece, Tresa Robertson.
Survivors include sons, Bill Chunn and Guy (Mary Anne) Springer; sisters, Peggy Trapp, Judy (Billy) Robertson; 2 grandchildren, Kaylee (Austin Upton) Chunn, Mallory (Hagan) Halfacre; 1 great-grandson, Vincent Upton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers are Arron Chunn, Jimmy Smith, Keith McCrory, Ben Trapp, Colton Trapp, Susie Trapp, Dale Conn, Mike Chunn. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Robertson, Joe Beckham, Buddy Beckham.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Choctaw Residential Staff and Residents.
A special thanks to all the cousins and friends for their help in caring for Billy over the years.
