Billy "Con" Beasley Obituary
Benson, NC: Mr. Billy “Con” Jacob Beasley, age 81, of N. Pleasant Coates Road passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Pastor Elvin Butts. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier.
Mr. Beasley was born on February 16, 1943 in Johnston County to the late William Jacob Beasley, Sr. and to Betty Catherine Roberts Beasley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alice McLamb Beasley, his son, Milburn Dale Beasley, and siblings, Hilda Wilkins, Carolyn Smith, Kenneth Beasley, Danny Mack Beasley, and Charles Beasley. Prior to retirement, he was a sheet rocker in both residential and commercial construction. He loved fishing, NASCAR, talking to people, eating seafood, had a lifetime love of cars and trucks, and his dogs. More than anything he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Prior to his wife’s passing, he was a devoted husband but remained a loving daddy, Pa Pa, Papa Billy, brother, and friend until his last day.
Surviving is his daughter, Tammy McLamb and husband Buck; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Adams; grandchildren, Ronnie Young and wife, Carlie, Lareesa Roman and husband, Jaime, Ashley McLamb and wife, Anna, Morgan Haynes and husband, Levi, and Hayley Howell and husband, Zack; great grandchildren, Caden, Caleb, Spencer, Hannah, Payton, Jaime, Andrew, Lucas, Lanie, and Nathan; brothers, Bobby Beasley, Donald Beasley, and Ricky Beasley; sisters, Mary Davis, Joyce Davis, Etheleen Oneil; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made in his honor at The American Cancer Society of North Carolina at 4140 Parklake Ave Suite 515, Raleigh, NC 27612.
