Billy W. Greene

Arthur "Billy" W. Greene sadly passed away on August 15, 2025, in his home, at the age of 73. Billy was born in December 1951 in Grafenwöhr, Germany. He started work at Kelly Springfield Tire Company in 1970, and worked there for 38 years, then retired. After retiring, he enjoyed walking in stores around Spring Lake and Fayetteville for exercise. He especially enjoyed the socializing during his walks, where he might run into people he knew, sometimes former co-workers, he always referred to as, "a Kelly boy."
Billy is preceded in death by his mother, Anne Greene, his father, Bill Greene, his daughter-in-law, Tonia Greene, and his grandson, Keith Humphries Jr.
He is survived by his son, Clint Greene of NC, his daughters, Sherry Humphries (Keith Humphries) of NC, and Crystal Melum (Chris Melum) of WA; his sister Linda Kerley (Ralph Kerley) of NC, his brothers Robert Greene of NC, and Richard Greene of NC. Billy is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
The memorial service for Billy W. Greene will be held at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 4pm.
