Billy Dean Griffith

Billy Dean Griffith, 69, of Lake Stamford, formerly of Roby, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 in Haskell County. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Roby Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Billy was born on February 18, 1957, in Seagraves, Texas, to the late Jasper Griffith and Lavada Long Griffith. For over 35 years, he owned and operated Billy Griffith Construction, where he built and remodeled homes. While living in Roby, he also kept a second home at Lake Stamford, where he enjoyed spending his time catfishing and running trot lines. He was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt. More than anything, he loved watching his girls play sports and in later years that same joy came from cheering on his grandkids at their events.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Osburn and husband Derek of Lipan, TX; Cassandra Knight and fiancé Cory Key of Ft. Worth, TX, Shalee Givens and husband Kris of Ralls, TX; grandchildren, Nevan Osburn, Kilyn Osburn, Tess Givens, Tara Givens, Campbell Knight, Hayes Knight, his best friend and fishing buddy, J.C. Watts and wife, Angela, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
