Billy Eugene "Bill" Haines

After suffering a heart attack at his home on October 29, 2023 Billy Eugene Haines passed away at the U of M Hospital on November 2, 2023. Billy Eugene Haines (whose loved ones called him Bill) 68 years old resided in Shorewood, MN. Bill was born on December 4, 1954, to Ralph & Luella Haines in Forsyth, MT. While growing up in Montana Bill worked as a ranch hand & in the coal mines. After leaving home Bill made his way to MN. This is where he met and fell in love with Theresa. On December 23, 1977. Bill married Theresa Olson, of Shorewood, MN. Bill and Theresa welcomed 5 children to complete their family. Bill loved to play with babies, especially being used a teething ring. He loved two atch and talk about sports to anyone who would listen. He would sit in his car for hours listening to sports, his favorite team was MN Vikings. After H & B closed, Bill was working for SBS until his death. Bill is survived by his wife Theresa, 5 children, Thomas, Thaddeus (Tina), Christine, Theodore (Crysta), Terrence including 5 grandchildren along with a brother Ralph, Jr. & brother-in-law Robert Fitzer. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Betty Lou Fitzer and sister in-law Ginger Haines. Visitation at Huber Funeral Homes (Excelsior) on 11/13/2023 from 5pm to 7pm. Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Excelsior, MN will have visitation on 11/14/2023 at 10am with a funeral service will be held at 11 am.. South Dakota funeral service will be held on 11/15/2023, 2pm at Langford Lutheran Church. Interment immediately following at Hill Side Cemetery in Langford, SD.
