Billy E. Harvey

Billy Ester Harvey was born February 1, 1944, in Rusk County, Texas to the late Bernice Harvey and the late Cears (Kiddo) Harvey. Bill graduated from CB Dansby High School in 1963 later joined the U.S. Army and continued his education at Kilgore College. He united with Pirtle Baptist Church at an early age and later united with Mt. Pleasant Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he held positions as Trustee, Steward, Sunday School Superintendent, and choir member. Bill never forgot his home church, he was a member of "Men In Action." Other organizations includes member of NAACP and served on the Board of Trustees at Sabine ISD. He served as Staff Manager for Herald Life Insurance Company for many years which was his passion. After retirement he became owner at Security Mail Service for twenty six years retiring in 2017.
On June 22, 1968, he united in Holy Matrimony to Callie Mae Williams Harvey. To this union one child was born, Lashell Harvey. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Cears and Bernice Harvey, three brothers, Calvin Harvey, Andy Harvey, and Jimmy Harvey. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories are his wife Callie Mae Harvey (55 years), One Daughter Lashell Harvey Bates /Byrell Bates -Dallas, Texas, Three grand daughters, Lauren Danielle Hudson, Zolivia Byrd, and Z'Riya Byrd, One grandson, LieQuan O'Shay Byrd, Two sisters, Linda Joyce Chambers, Bastrop, Texas, Florence Gail Brown, Tyler, Texas: One Brother-in-law, Raymond Williams, Jr/Janet, Kilgore, Texas. A host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
