Billy Dwight Hooker, 70, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. Billy was born on November 20, 1953 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late D.A. and Gladys Hooker. He loved playing golf and singing his favorite gospel music and was a part of several gospel groups. Billy was a dedicated Member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church for many years. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters, Meghan Snyder, and Shondra Hickman; and his brother, Neal Hooker. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Debbie Hooker; son, Coleby (Candice) Hooker; grandchildren, Kynslee Hooker, Truman Hooker, Taylor Hickman, and Devin Hickman; his brothers, Lamar (Judy) Hooker, and Randy (Brenda) Elder; and his sister in laws, JoAnn Hooker, and Suzanne Anderson; along with a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hearth Hospice, Gentle Hands, Life Care of Cleveland, and Todd Houston for their excellent care. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Rickie Vaughn and Pastor Kenneth Bowers officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mountain Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Wilcoxon, Mike Wilcoxon, Bobby Wilcoxon, Dustin Day, Randy Elder, and Jody Rogers serving as pallbearers. Ricky Brooks and Wayne Hickman will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
