Billy "Bill" Robert Leser

Billy (Bill) Robert Leser, 92, of Franklin, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, October 1.

Bill was born on May 6, 1933 to Charneal and Hortense (Royse) Leser in the Amity area.

Bill is survived by his wife, Anna Marie (Annie) (Parker) Leser. They were married on July 1, 1956 at the Bargersville Christian Church and celebrated 69 years together.

Bill graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1951. As a U S Army veteran, he was stationed in Germany from 1953-1956.

As a lifelong member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Bill served on various boards and was able to provide sweet corn for the annual church corn roast for 42 years.

Farming held a special place in his heart. In the early 60's, before the "big" tractors were for sale, Bill put two International M tractors together to gain more power. He kept abreast of the many changes and improvements made in the farming industry.



Known as "Mr. Bill", he touched many young lives, as a Clark Pleasant school bus driver, driving for 26 years.

Over the years Bill could be found on his golf cart, visiting neighbors and making new friends.

Other survivors are his sons, Steven R. Leser, Franklin and Charles E. Leser, Pendleton, granddaughter, Shelly (David) Scott, Whiteland, great grandson, Austyn Scott and great granddaughter, Lona Scott, sister, Patricia (James) Allen, niece, Amy Olson, nephew, Brad Allen and several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 5, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 548 W 100 N., Franklin Indiana 46131. The family will welcome friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
