Billy Mathis Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Mathis (aka Billy Jack) will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. George Warner and Rev. Troy Dew officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM at the funeral home prior to services. Internment will follow at Spring Hill Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Billy Joe Mathis, 55, of Meridian, MS passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Medical Center.
Billy Joe was well renowned as a paint and body technician. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Billie Jean Mathis, children, Hannah Mathis and Jennah Mathis, 4 grandchildren, siblings, Brenda Dew (David), Bobby Ray Mathis, Shirley Jones (Ronald), Kathy Dearman (Russell), Carolyn Dolan, Linda Farmer (Randy), and Steve Mathis (Sondra), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Mathis.
Pallbearers will be Steve Mathis, Bobby Mathis, Danny Joe Jones, Jimmy Don Heathcock, Trint Shull, Steven "Screach" Johnson, Noah Heathcock, and Ryland Heathcock.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Robert Barham Family Funeral Home to help cover Billy’s funeral expense.
