Billy Newton Miller

Billy “Bill” Newton Miller, 84, a resident of Cleveland, joined many of his family and friends in his forever home on June 11, 2024. He was a former resident of Madisonville and had resided in Cleveland for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and most recently attended New Liberty Baptist Church. He loved to travel, go out to eat, he loved to play pranks on people, very generous and giving. He loved people and made friends easily. Always up for an adventure and continued to talk about them up until the end. An avid NASCAR fan in the Dale Earnhardt days and was able to drive a NASCAR. He loved the outdoors, gardening and just being in nature. Bill was a sweet soul and served his time in the Army during Korean war.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Martha Sue Miller who passed away in 2000. Parents James Henry Miller and Rosa Lee Green Miller, his brother Bobby Miller (and Shirley Miller) and sister Phyllis Ledford (and Quinton Ledford) and a grandson Donlee Whitehead, special friend Vicky Carver and Earl Rogers-son in law.

Survivors include his three daughters Ronna Miller Hall and husband James Hall, Tammy Brown and husband Charlie Brown, and Tina Miller Rogers. Grandchildren Brandon Miller, Josh Rogers and Tyler Rogers, several great grandchildren, and special friend Tina Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel of Cleveland  with Rev. Waymond Cooper officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday. Burial with military honors will follow in Lee Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 with Poole Funeral Home of Cleveland directing.
