Billy Joe Mobly was born on December 24, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to the late Odessa Ann (Howard) Mobly and Joe Ben Mobly. He passed away on January 31, 2025 at home in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 84.
Billy was retired from United Fire Insurance Group. He was a passionate supporter of the Fort Worth Stock Show Calf Scramble. He was a true cowboy at heart. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Anthony Mobly.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Terry Mobly of North Richland Hills; children, Christy Pogue, Nicole Kolodetsky of Fort Worth, and Ryan Kolodetsky and wife, Ann of Carrollton; grandchildren, Benjamin, Maximillan, Chanc, Rydge; and one great-grandson, Jackson.
Billy’s life will be celebrated during a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 7, 2025 followed by a reception at Williams and Lucas Memorial Chapel located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
