Billy Ray Mosely age 80, of Lake View, Michigan went home to his Lord and Savior on February 14, 2024.
Billy Ray Mosely was born on March 24, 1943 to Lucille Gregory of Houston, Mississippi.
As a young child Billy resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan until the 5th grade, when the family relocated to Erie, Pennsylvania in 1956, where Billy Ray lived the majority of his life. He attended Tracey Elementary as a child. Billy attended Wilson Jr. High and Academy High School of Erie, Pennsylvania where he graduated from in 1963.
After high-school Billy Ray went to work on the Lake Erie docks. This is also where he met and eventually married his beloved wife, Pearl. They enjoyed a loving union until she passed away in 2004.
Billy Ray continued to reside in Erie, Pennsylvania until 2021. As an elder he returned to West Michigan to reside among family and friends. Billy Ray was called home to be with the Lord and reunite with his wife on February 14, 2024.
Billy is preceded in death by his loving wife; Pearl Mosely, mother; Lucille Jackson (Gregory, and maternal grandmother; Zelda Martin (Gregory).
Billy leaves behind his three siblings Walter Catledge of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jimmy Catledge of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sybil Conwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, along with close nephews Walter Catledge Jr and Russell Catledge. He also leaves behind a very special friend Ms. Nancy Jones of Lake View, Michigan and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Billy will truly be missed and will always be remembered for being a sweet, hardworking man who would give you the shirt off his back, who was always smiling, and cheering on those around him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 22, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505
