Billy Roy Rodgers

Billy Roy Rodgers, 76, was called home by the good Lord on Monday August 4, 2025 after a 10-year battle with COPD. Billy was born September 6, 1948 in Rockdale TX to Roy Winnifred Rodgers and Lillian Maureen (Baker) Rodgers. Billy grew up in Lexington TX, hunting coons and squirrels with his hound dogs, as well as fishing. Billy's zest for life was undeniable. He never met a stranger, and Billy loved tinkering and working on cars and there was nothing he couldn't fix. Billy worked steel mills in Houston Texas; Elgin Butler Brick yard, and also did maintenance in Austin Texas and a septic installer in the Hill Country. Billy is preceded in death by his parents. Billy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janice (Jenkins) Rodgers; daughters Judy Kay Wilson, husband Tracy of Bertram Texas, Brandi Michelle Carney and husband Chris of Round rock Texas, and Julie DeAnn Hartranft of Rockdale; sons Billy Roy Rodgers Jr. of Giddings Texas, Brandon Michael Rodgers of Copperas Cove Texas, and 6 grandchildren as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Brothers Hubert Rodgers of San Marcos, Ricky Joe Rodgers of Leander Texas and wife Rita, as well as sisters Connie Sue Duck and husband David of Lumberton Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Affordable Burial & Cremation Service - 2006 N. W.S. Young Dr., #60 Killeen TX 76543 on August 15, 2025 from 5-8pm.
