Billy Mack Spellings

Mr. Billy Mack Spellings, age 77 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services for Mr. Spellings will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 3PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman, Bro. Tom Spellings, and Joey Spellings officiating. Interment will follow in Grier’s Chapel Cemetery. 

Billy was born May 4, 1947, in Dyer, TN; the son of the late John Mervin & Lois (Allen) Spellings. He worked as a fitting room foreman for Brown Shoe Company and attended Dyer Church of Christ. 

Mr. Spellings is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Spellings; three children, Blake Spellings (Martha Carol), Joey Spellings, Morgan Spellings Hardegree (Bill); siblings, Bobby Spellings, Carolyn Johnstone; and five grandchildren, Mia Spellings, Karter Spellings, Harper Hardegree, Caroline Hardegree, and Molly Hardegree. He was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Calvin ‘TC’ Spellings, and Mary Nell Bragorgos.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Mays, John Bragorgos, Karter Spellings, Brian McDaniel, Joey Spellings, Andy Hyde, Bill Hardegree, and Bryan Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are Eston Hurst, Nelson Siler, Jim Johnston, Bobby Spellings, Jeff Johnston, Jon Johnston, Marshall Moss, Rusty Darby, and Brandt Jercinovich. 

The family will receive friends from 1PM-3PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Billy Mack Spellings.
