Billy Joe Walls, Sr. was born on March 2, 1946 in Fayette, Mississippi to the union of Willie and Lucille Walls.
Billy Joe married Margaret Glenn Mills in 1966 and later they moved to Bloomington, Illinois He began working at Bailey TV Repair. Billy loved working in the community. He continued working in the community and worked at Stark Construction for over 30 years and retired in 1999. He loved working on cars and mowing yards as his hobbies. If you knew him, you know he always had a passion for them.
Billy accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and after moving to Illinois, he became a member at Union Missionary Baptist Church. After years at Union he moved on to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board for many years.
During his second marriage, in 1992, he had their beloved baby girl Vanessa Kimberly Walls.
And his third marriage to Christina Walls in 2014 where he enjoyed the last years of his loving life. He will be dearly missed by so many family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Christina Walls; his loving children, Billy Joe Walls, Marrilyn Walls, of Belleville, Illinois, Tracy (Joseph) Marshall of Jackson, New Jersey, Paula (Frank) Woodson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Damon (Tiffanie) Beverly of Walnut Creek, California, Jeffery (Patrick) Beverly of Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Beverly of Bloomington, Illinois, and Zinaida Beverly of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, T.J. Walls and Eddie Walls; his favorite niece/sister, Delores (Strawder) Beverly; five step-children, Britney, Zetta, Kristen, Jalisa, and Julian; nineteen grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Dorothy Mayfield and Geneva Walls, brothers, Albert Walls, Willie T. Walls, Walter Walls, Charlie Cameron, Thomas Walls, and Edward Walls, and his beloved daughter, Vanessa Kimberly Walls.
