Birdie Ann Underhill, 80, of Troy, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on September 1st, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Birdie was born on 4-25-1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She grew up in Newman, CA, retired to the Oregon Coast and has spent the last 8 years in Troy, Indiana.

She was a positive inspiration to so many and was so thankful for all of her blessings. She truly loved people and anyone that was around her instantly adored her.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life with the love of her life, Don, spending many evenings down at the Ohio River savoring an ice cream with him, spending time on their front porch together delighting in her flowers which he meticulously tended to, and appreciating the beauty of nature in their off-road adventures.

Birdie cherished her family and had great pleasure in traveling with Don to visit her children and grandchildren. It included almost 17 wonderful years of taking trips in their RV, spending time with family and exploring the entire United States.

She had so many positive sayings, three of our favorites being:

"Share a Smile"

"Stay safe and well"

"Today is a good day for a good day"

Birdie is survived by her husband Don G. Underhill, her seven children:

Christie (Dennis) Gomes

Crystal (Mark) Souza

Cheryl (Perry) Lutz

Dorothy (Mike) Vanwinkle

Brian (Donna) Underhill

Sandy (Mitch) Brandman

David (Susan) Esty

Two sisters: Rae Dean Castro and Jerry (Roy) Harris

Twenty three grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren
