Stumbled upon an old pic of Blake at a birthday party when we like 10. Seeing it made me cry. I still vividly remember our teacher crying at the front of the class... As a father myself now the pain is only more real. Best wishes to all your family and friends.

I can't believe it's almost been 7 years... I think about you everyday. I try to think of the memories, but a lot I can't remember. I always wonder what it would be like if you were still around. There is always that one day where I want to just go to heaven & see you. I can't wait... Everything is supposed to happen for a reason, but I really don't understand why this happened. Oh how I remember the making benches picture on here. Blake you were so kind, you waiting for Wayne to be ready to work on them. You looked forward to it all day. You are one of the sweetest young guys I have ever known. Polite, considerate, compassionate, funny as all get out! I remember yours and Eric's dance on the deck out camping too. Funny!!!!

well, we have our last soccer game on monday , hopefully we'll do better than our last double header game... went to the football game tonight with some friends, it was fun. our team won. it was home coming week this week too that was also fun . mom, wayne, and i were all thinking of you wednesday at church we were also thinking of lisa our confirmation was talkig about losses , we were all tearing up thinking of the fun times we had with you. it was a good discussion though. anyways i'm tired and we all love and miss you, bretts at the dance right now ;)

Dear Blaker Cakers,
We walked yesturday in honor of our memories of you. As I started out the day, I remembered back to all the sweet things we experienced together. I'm sure everyone has there favorite memories. Mine was the night before hunting our time spent loading clips, and unloading and getting familiar with your Grandpa's guns. The excitement the night before and the first day hunting when it was 37 below zero. I still laugh at the fact your Grandpa and you built a fire to keep warm, and we laughed about that, like the deer were going to come. Hahahah! Then we went to territory no one in their right mind would go to because we were basically kicked out of where we were sitting by some guy that was way camoflouged. When we went to that territory no one would go to for it would be tough to get a deer out. High ridges and mountainous terrain. That's when you got your deer! We were suppose to wait 15 minutes once we shot, for there could be more deer coming. You lasted 10 minutes and yelled "Michelle come help me drag em!" I was so flipping excited for you! That's the joy I remember with you and will never forget. I also remember dragging him out. And grandpa Ronnie came into help. We were worried about him for he was huffing and puffing. Grandpa said there is no place I'd rather die more as in the woods pulling a deer out. We laughed.
Thanks for the cherished memories.
I still haven't shot a deer, but enjoy my time in the woods and wilderness. You are not forgotten.

Hi Blake. We had about 16 people at the walk in your memory today. That's 7 more than last year. I was kind of disappointed that none of your friends made it this year. Hopefully some friends will make it there next year. Your family is ALWAYS there for you & we proved that today! we have your walk tomorrow!! i'm excited! well i had 2 soccer games this week and the first one we tied 1-1 and today we lost 3-0 but it might have been 4-0 i don't remember but that's okay cause there's still time to improve! i've been working hard lately! i have a very busy schedule, i am trying to write on here more but i have school, soccer practice, soccer games, confirmation groups, and piano lessons and i need time for homework so if u think... yeah that's a lot!! but i'm excited for tomorrow and i'm really loving soccer, and also confirmation. they both brought me into a new world. confirmation is teaching me to be nicer, & soccer is teaching me that if i want something i really have to try hard & try my best but have fun at the same time! so anyways...

We wanted to go fishing today but it was so windy and I'm thinking of how you like to fish so much and wish we could all go together. You would like to be here for Cousin Eric's graduation party. Well Blake, it looks like Kalley will be joining you up there. Today I noticed that the tumor in her breast had enlarged quite a bit & was bleeding. Then she threw up today too, so I told your Mom about it & she came over with Brett & Alyssa to check her. They took some pictures with Kalley & tomorrow will take her in to do the humane thing. She's in pain, so this will be the best thing for her. I hope your Mom knows that I have done MY best to take care of Kalley. But being that I'm not a pet person, Kalley probably deserved better than just being housed & fed here by me. I will admitt that she did not get the attention & love that she really needed from somebody, but that person was not me. I am not a pet person & will probably never will be a pet person, but I would never intentionally be cruel to an animal. She will be in a better place. Thinking of you this time of year. Thanksgiving was nice with your uncle Scott deep frying our small Turkey. I thought about you and how I could see you out Turkey hunting to catch the bird for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm sure it would have been phenomenal! Merry Christmas Blake! The holiday season is upon us and every day seems like a whirl to get ready. We have lots of snow now and it would be nice to have the weather a bit warmer to be able to go outside and enjoy it. Hi there, with the holidays coming I think of you often. I remember the Christmas's we shared. I remember you playing the dice game with us, and every one fighting over the Hot Wheels Chevelle car, or other Hot Wheels cars I bought thinking the boys would like them. I remember one year you wanted a CD and I got it for you, but couldn't remember the singer. Then the other day they played the song on KDWB and I remembered that was it.
"You're my Angel" your my darling angel. Funny how now you are our Angel up above! I remember you singing that song in the back seat of the car. Too funny!
You're bright and bubbly personality is greatly missed!
Deer hunting this year was not very successful, none of us got a deer. But I got the very much needed breaks in the woods. My favorite part of hunting is enjoying the nature that God has created for all of us and what a wonderful gift to enjoy! Mariah enjoyed our time together and we had fun so that is what counts. Better luck next year right! The whole family is missing you and your spunk. We think of you often, and you are never forgotten. Miss you bunches, and love you to pieces Maurices!

Hi there blake, it has been a while since I wrote last, I check your guest book every week, pretty much.
The Holidays are apon us now and this is the hardest time of year for me, ever since you have been gone.
I try to weather thru it as best as I can. Alot of unpleasant things have happened in the last 4 years, and some good I guess, I do have alot to be thankfull for, The lord blessed me with 4 beutiful children and I thank him for that, also my health and good friends and my faith, I think alot of people need to not judje one another and remember to be kind, as the lord is the only one who will do the judjing, and people need to act like cristians if they believe their selves to be one.
I did a little decorating for christmas , brett alyssa and I baked over 7 dozen cookies last week while listening to christmas music it was alot of fun.
We just got some snow, it is pretty outside with a little blanket of white.

Blake, Happy Easter. Blake we all need you to look after us more than ever now. I'm sure Bryan could use some sort of angel to look after him & turn things around. Brett & Alyssa will be splitting time between your Mom & I. I hope everything works out for all of us & I really think it will, but it will just be a bit tough at first. Blake, I just wanted to let you know that Brett is taking firearms safety & I decided to take it too. As long as I am bringing him anyway & if I ever want to hunt in another state, I have to have it. I love it. I am actually learning very important things that I thought I knew already. Everyone should take the course. Brett won a shotgun in January. That was pretty cool. He has two Remingtons now (his single shot - 20 ga. & now an 870 - 12 ga.). We will get out more this summer to the range to practice & hopefully Brett will get his first duck this fall. I wish you were still here to go hunt ducks with us. I know you seem to prefer deer hunting, but ducks are so much fun. Well, Love ya.
