Blanche Armstrong

Blanche I. Armstrong, 78, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
A daughter of the late Eugene and Katherine (Mace) Clark, Blanche was born May 2, 1944 at Barnesville, Ohio.
Blanche graduated from Barnesville High School in 1962. On February 15, 1964, Blanche married her high school sweetheart, Clarence "Del" Armstrong. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2020.
She loved crafting. More than anything, Blanche cherished the time spent with her family, she was very active in her grandchildren's lives and never missed any of their events. She was quite fond of the memories and times shared with them during vacations and family cruises. In the last year she has loved welcoming and spending time with her three great-grandsons.
Blanche is survived by her three daughters, Gena (Mark) Incarnato of New Philadelphia, Terri (David) Sholl of Johnstown, Ohio and Deanna (Jeff) Horn of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Gabriel and Nicholas Incarnato, Brandon (Stephanie), Tyler (Sarah) Sholl, Brock (Morganne Balder), Brant (Lily Padilla) and Brody (Jarrett Troyer) Horn; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Sholl, Parker Horn and Archie Sholl; sisters, Elizabeth Kelley, Mabel McClurg and Esther Dailey; and brother, Bernard Clark.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Mamie Lykins and Credella Shriver; brothers, Robert, Russell, Leroy, Elroy and Charles Clark; and a grandson, Bryce Horn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:30AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Blanche's life will begin at 11:30AM in the funeral home with Pastor Frank Clifton officiating. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Church Cemetery.
