Blase F. DiSano
Frankfort – Mr. Blase F. DiSano, 79, of Frankfort passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Ilion on November 10, 1943, the son of the late Blase and Frances Scaparo DiSano. He attended Frankfort school and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1962. He later attended MVCC and SUNY IT. He was married to Sherry Bunce on May 4, 1963 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Blase was a Quality Director for Trenton Technologies for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Richfield Springs Fish and Game Club, Ilion Fish and Game Club and the NRA. Blasé especially loved his family and spending time with them and his many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and trap shoot.
Blase is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sherry; one son and daughter in law, Blase and Shelly DiSano of King George VA; two daughters and one son in law, Patti and Peter Palmitesso of Remsen and Laura McManus of Frankfort; one sister, Marietta Merganthaler of Ilion; two brothers and on sister in law, Charles DiSano of Frankfort and John and Gina DiSano of Bonita Springs FL; his aunt, Violet DiMaggio of Frankfort; his cherished grandchildren, Sarah and her husband, Andrew Barberio, Nicole and her husband, Jay Howell, Ross McManus Jr, Blase R. DiSano, Peter Palmitesso, Anthony and his wife, Jenna Palmitesso and Dominick DiSano; seven great grandchildren, Izabella Warren, Payton Warren, Adriana Barberio, Andie Jo Barberio, Sophia Palmitesso, Theo Palmitesso and Alexis Palmitesso; his in laws, Evelyn and Jack Mowers, Mary Lou and Robert Louis, Paula and Alan Ricci and Sheila LaFountain; his special friend and mentor, Albert Mazloom; special friends, Al Wheeler, Paul Huening and Peter Komenderak; a very special cousin and friend, Louie and Diane Astafan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Nellie May Juliano.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 10 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.

He is and was a Wonderful, Kind and Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa, and Uncle. To me and my family he is and always will be a Precious and Loving man, who it was a Blessing and Privilege to call him Cousin Blasie. Love you Forever and we will see you Again in Glory.
