In Loving Memory of Robert George Carol

July 30, 1935 – July 10, 2025

Robert George Carol, "Bob" passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025.

Born in Flint, Michigan on July 30, 1935, Bob was the beloved only child of George and Dorothy Carol. A proud graduate of Northern High School, he went on to earn a degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. Bob dedicated over three decades of his career to General Motors, where his work ethic and quiet determination left a lasting impression.

In 1958, Bob married the love of his life, Myra, and together they built a beautiful life raising their four children: Ken, Larry, Dave, and Denise. In retirement, Bob and Myra found joy and serenity at Crystal Lake in Beulah, Michigan, where they made countless cherished memories.

Bob was a man of many passions. He found joy in cross-country skiing, fishing, golfing, crossword puzzles, card games, and spending time with family and friends. He was a devout member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Frankfort and a familiar face at the Crystal Lake Golf Course. Known for his warm spirit and sense of humor, Bob proudly held the title of "Lifetime Member" at Five Shores Brewery-a nod to his appreciation for good company and good cheer.

He also loved escaping to Florida during the colder months and found delight in exploring new places through travel.

Bob's kindness, devotion, and steady presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His memory lives on in the hearts of his children: Ken (Penny), Larry (Roni), David, and Denise (Sean); his grandchildren: Alexandra, Andrew, Chris, Alicia, and Dan; and his great-grandchildren: Berkleigh, Ramona, Charlie, and Duke.

Visitation will be held at Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia on Thursday, July 24th, from 5:00–7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 25th, at 12:00 pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Frankfort, with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements with Jowett Family Funeral Home.
