Mr. Bob Keck, age 85, of New Tazewell passed away November 12, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born March 11, 1940, in New Tazewell to Buford and Cecil Evans Keck who precede him in death. Bob loved his family and church. He was a faithful member of the Lily Grove Baptist Church where he enjoyed preaching and teaching his Sunday school class. Bob was an avid farmer and gardener
Bob is preceded in death by his wife June Keck, sons Jeff Keck and Jim Keck, parents Buford and Cecil Keck, infant sister Cindy Keck and brother Bill Keck and wife June.
He is survived by his son Jerry Keck and wife Jennifer, stepdaughter Darlene Ickes and husband Ian, stepson Junior McGeorge and daughter-in-law Becky Keck. Bob is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Carl Keck and wife Shirley, Wayne Keck, Ray Keck and wife Terrie, Willard Keck, Darel Keck and Rick Keck. Sisters Cleo Ford, Reba Cardwell, Ruth Sweet, Diane Russell and husband T.C., and Brenda Sue Bull. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday November 15, 2025, from 11:00am till 12:00 noon in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon Rev. Brody Edens officiating. Music will be provided by the Lily Grove Singers. Graveside services will follow in the Lily Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Justin Keck, Xander Garrett, Evan Ickes, Jon Russell, Dustin Keck, and Brody Edens.
