Mr. Chucky Paul Collins, age 62, of New Tazewell passed away November 13, 2025, at Tennova North Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born August 6, 1963, in Tazewell to William and Linda Collins who precede him in death. Chucky was saved at an early age and was a member of the Grissom Island Baptist Church. He worked for Powell Valley Electric Cooperative as a lineman for over 10 years. Chucky was a caregiver for his mother for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley while listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Linda Lou Collins.
He is survived by his siblings Terry Collins and wife Misty, Jerry Collins and wife Nancy, Dennis Collins and wife Janie, Shane Collins and Vickie Cole. Stepson Tyler Day. Nieces and nephews: Tammy Meyers and husband Paul, Crissy Collins, Amanda Norton and husband John, Jeromy Collins and wife Randi, Nathan Collins and Eric Bolton, Cory Collins, Carol Hurst, Gavin Hurst and wife Paige, Shana Graves and husband Canaan, Tom Collins and Ashley Dyke and husband Jesse. Great nieces and nephews: Ashtyn (Cedric), Rose (Tyler), Jacob, Christian, Madison, Jonathan, Addison, Ellie, Ethan, Elsie, Willie, Nicholas, and Brooklyn. Special caregiver Jennifer Cosby. A host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday November 17, 2025, from 5:00pm till 7:00pm in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with the Rev. Tim Drummonds officiating. Burial Tuesday November 18, 2025, at 10:00am in the Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tyler Day, Eric Bolton, Paul Meyers, Nathan Collins, Jeromy Collins and Canaan Graves. Honorary Pallbearers: Cory Collins, Ric Johnson, Tom Collins, Hoy Watson and Randy Dooley.
