Mr. Byron "Bigen" W. Johnson age 64 of New Tazewell passed away November 13, 2025, at his home. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on August 25, 1961, to James and Jannetta Johnson who precede him in death. He was saved and baptized at Tazewell Baptist. He later attended Victory Worship Center. Byron loved weightlifting and won several weightlifting competition events. His passion was playing slow pitch softball.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Jannetta Johnson, sisters Sherry Sheets, Karen Johnson, Donna Hawkins and brother Larry Johnson. Infant brother Robert Johnson.
Byron is survived by his children Elizabeth Caudill and husband Lester and Andrew Johnson and wife Brittany. Grandchildren Brooklyn and Bryleigh Caudill. Sisters Betty Johnson, Novella Pyle and husband Kevin, and Marilynn Young and husband Jerry. Special niece Pauletta Beeler and husband Jason. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will have a private graveside service with Eddie Overholt officiating. Burial in Irish Memorial Gardens.
