Bob Murphy Obituary

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mildred Murphy as well as sister-in-law Wanda Adams. He is survived by his lifelong love Janice Adams Murphy, to whom he remained totally devoted to, in marriage for 62 years; his sister, Cathi (Virgil) Reece of Marietta; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Adams of Buford, Keith (Cerita) Adams of Buford; several nieces and nephews.
Bob was born, raised and lived most of his life in Buford. He enjoyed a career with Scientific Atlanta and serving on the Buford Housing Authority Board. He was a member of First Baptist Church Buford. Bob loved his family and friends, along with good food and the Buford Wolves!

Jan, we (Larry and Kay Milstid) always loved the visits from our Buford, Georgia friends. Bob, you, Bobby & Barbara, Chris & Ron were always such a delight to be with. Every time y´all made a trip to Gulf Shores you made a point to visit and we looked so forward to them. We had lots of laughs and good times. We loved Bob very much and will be thinking of you!

Some years ago Bob and Janice spent a few days with us in Northern California. The highlight of the trip for them was visiting the town of "Murphy, CA." For those of you who knew Bob, you can imagine how much he enjoyed visiting his namesake town.
