Bob Reid Obituary
When an injury ended his college football career, Bob hitchhiked to California to work construction. During his down time, Bob worked with YMCA sports teams – a decision that changed the course of his life. Bob returned to school but with a change in major from engineering to education.
Bob and Pat married in 1959 and in 1963, Bob's career at Anderson High School began.
During his 37-year tenure, Bob was fortunate to receive numerous accolades for his work as a teacher and, with his teams, achieve many successes as a coach. However, he was most importantly a wonderful husband and father. His priorities in life were his family, the Anderson Cubs and the Anderson community.
Bob is predeceased by his wife, Pat, and is survived by his proud daughters, Lee Angela and Faren who will miss him tremendously.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Bob Reid Stadium on the Anderson High School campus at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the Shasta District Fair & Event Center at 1:00 pm. Please wear your Cubs gear and dress for football weather!
