Rev. Bob Hope Robinson, 79, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Benoit, Mississippi and attended grade school in Grapeland, Mississippi. He graduated from Nugent Center High School where he lettered in Baseball, Basketball, and Track. Bob Hope was voted the "Athlete of the Year" during his Junior and Senior years, he also received athletic scholarships in all three sports. Bob Hope attended Illinois Central College and graduated with a Degree in Marketing Management and attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and graduated with a BS Degree in Sociology. Bob Hope also attended United Theological Seminary, Alcorn State University, Midstate College of Business and Empire State Baptist Seminary.Bob Hope Robinson was converted to the discipleship of Jesus Christ when he was 14 years old. He accepted the call to preach in November of 1985 and was given license to preach the Gospel by the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church on January 5, 1986 in Peoria, Illinois, and was ordained on June 24, 1990. In September of 1990, Bob Hope Robinson was installed as the Pastor of the Southern Missionary Baptist Church in
Syracuse, New York, where he served for 6 years. In January of 1997 Bob Hope was elected as Pastor of The New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where he served for seven years. He later formed the Greater New Morning Star Baptist Church where he served until the Lord called him home.Pastor Bob Hope Robinson leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Angela D. Robinson; three sons, Bob Hope Robinson Jr. of West Hollywood, CA, Bob Angelo Robinson of Buffalo, NY, and Bob Noah Robinson of Baldwinsville, NY; two daughters, Evelina Hope Taylor (James) of Liverpool, NY and Debra Ann Robinson of
Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Tinisha Taylor, Caleb Taylor, and Hope Thomas, all of Syracuse, Dylan Robinson of Atlanta, GA and Triniti Robinson of Greensboro, North Carolina; Honorable mention, Candace Robinson of Peoria, IL, Holly Robinson of Greensboro, North Carolina; sisters, Essie Lee William (Oscar) Matteson of IL, Barbar Nix of Charlotte, North Carolina, Marilyn Brown and Sue Phinsie; brothers, Wille Jones Robinson, Cliff Robinson Jr., Steve Robinson, and Patrick Robinson.Bob was Preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Elizabeth Robinson; and siblings, Dorothy Mitchell, Lanie Robinson, and Roy Robinson.Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 18th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at FARONE & SON Inc Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 10 a.m. at Tucker Missionary Baptist, 515 Oakwood Avenue, Syracuse. Bob Hope will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery,
