Robert Thomas "Bob" Winchatz, aged 69, passed away into eternal life on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Somerville, he is the son of the late Anthony Joseph Winchatz, Sr. and Helen (née Babinski) Winchatz. He was brought up in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and has resided in Hillsborough since the mid-1980s.

Bob graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School West. He began his career working with his father as an independent maintenance mechanic before joining Itran in South Plainfield, New Jersey, serving as the head maintenance mechanic. He then transitioned to Fram Trak Industries in Middlesex, New Jersey, where he also held the position of head maintenance mechanic.

Bob had a fondness for working on his boat. He would take it out to the ocean from Sandy Hook. He enjoyed deep sea fishing during his time on the boat. Both he and his brother, Tom, took pleasure in building race cars and maintaining them. They frequently visited the Flemington Speedway, where Tom would compete in races, while Bob served as the chief mechanic. In recent years, Bob helped arrange reunions for the classes of the early 1970's from Bridgewater-Raritan High School West.
Bob is survived by his dear brothers, Tony Winchatz and his wife Audrey from Hillsborough, as well as Tom Winchatz of Hillsborough; two treasured nieces and their spouses, Eve and her husband Adam and Emily and her husband Andrew; and many beloved great nieces, nephew and cousins.
