Bobbidee Thompson

Bobbidee Duck Thompson, age 63, passed away on August 7, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:00pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Abilene, Mike Greenfield officiating, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Friday August 11, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
Bobbiedee was born in Abilene to James and Bobbi (Ducan) Duck on November 22, 1959. She married Gregory Donald Thompson on July 1, 1989, in Abilene. She graduated from Cooper High School in 1978, Hardin Simmons Bachelor's Degree in 1983, and Master's Degree in 1995 also from Hardin Simmons.
She taught high school English, theater, and speech for over twenty years and retired from teaching at Jim Ned High School. She loved her students like they were her own kids. She enjoyed teaching, sewing, and playing with her granddaughters.
She is survived by daughter: Natasha Rochelle Segovia and spouse Bryan James, son Michael Chase Thompson; her sister Mary Melissa Weaver and husband Dennis, and two nephews Jerry Duncan Weaver and wife Arden, and James Alton Weaver; two granddaughters: Daria Jane Segovia and Jewel Alice Segovia.
