It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Koti Lynn Goolsby aka Koti Lynn White, who left this world on September 29, 2025, at the young age of 21. Born on July 21, 2004, in Abilene, Texas, Koti was a beloved soulmate, daughter, sister, great-granddaughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Koti is the daughter of Scott and Paula Goolsby; her siblings, Hailee and Ryan Goolsby. Koti's life was filled with love and affection thanks to the Love of her life, Devin White, together they had great adventures filled with cherished moments and always preferred being side by side.
Her family will always remember her as the greatest big sister, demonstrating a selfless and profound love for her siblings, consistently cheering them on in life in anything they did. A true social butterfly, Koti had a vibrant spirit that drew people to her. She was known for her warm hospitality and her big selfless heart. A passionate softball player from an early age. She won many awards including all District catcher of the year her Jr. Year at Jim Ned High School. After High school Koti earned her Medical Assistance Licenses and continued studying for her nursing degree. She loved learning all she could about the medical field. She also found joy in attending concerts, going to the lake, camping and being with friends and family.
Koti faced her battles with unwavering faith and strength, never losing sight of her Father in Heaven. Her spirit, strength, and courage will forever be an inspiration to those she leaves behind as she enjoys eternal paradise.
A visitation will take place at the Elmwood Funeral Home Family Center on October 2, 2025, from 5:00- 7:00 PM at 5750 HWY 277 south Abilene Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at Beltway Park Church, South Campus, on October 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 4009 Beltway South Abilene Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Medical City Dallas Children's Hospital - Pediatric Oncology 6NW and Hendricks Hospice Center in Koti's memory. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Ghisoli and the exceptional staff on the 6th floor, especially the nurses, for their remarkable care and compassion during Koti's journey. Koti may be gone, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
