Bobbie Blackwell Obituary
Bobbie Jean Blackwell, age 68, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. A beloved resident of Long Beach, she was born on August 29, 1956, in Gulfport, MS. Bobbie graduated from Harrison Central High School in the Class of '74, where she enjoyed playing sports, including baseball and basketball.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Travis M. Byrd and Challie Busby Byrd; three brothers, Ira Byrd, Rocky Byrd, and Jimmy Byrd; and her best friend, Johncie Spiers.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Bobbie is survived by her two children, Wade H. Blackwell III (wife, Amanda J. Blackwell) and Eric Blackwell; her cherished grandchildren, Wade Hunter Blackwell, Matthew Dylan Blackwell, and Madelyn Leighanne Blackwell; her siblings, Gilda Davis (husband, Ronnie Davis) Kathy Culpepper, Travis Byrd (wife, Vicki Byrd); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, MS 39560. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
