Bobbie Jo Renegar Speaks, 67 of Hamptonville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2023.
She was born in Iredell County on March 13, 1956, to the late Eldon Lonnie Renegar and Lois Hall Hess.
Bobbie Jo loved flowers and making things beautiful. She loved doing things for others, was good-hearted, and loved making those around her happy. Going to church and encouraging people brought her joy. Bobbie Jo loved her cows and Chick-fil-A. More than anything else, she loved her family with all her heart.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 47 years, Billy Edward Speaks, two sons, Loren Speaks (Kristen), Corey Speaks (Megan), a daughter, Hollie Bissell (Ed), five grandchildren, Makinnley Speaks, Avery Speaks, Gracie Bissell, Ellie Speaks, Cody Speaks, three brothers, Lonnie Dean Renegar (Sarah), Earl Douglas Renegar, Sam Renegar (Melody), and a sister, Rita Pressley (Darrell).
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Clifford Gwaltney, Pastor James Miles, and Pastor Steve Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 am to 10:50 am prior to the service.
