Kohlbei Treivahn "Trei" Manuel, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away tragically on November 19, 2025, at the age of 20. Born on October 26, 2005, in Statesville, North Carolina, Trei was a bright young man whose life, though brief, was filled with passion and promise.
A 2024 graduate of East Rowan High School, Trei was known for his vibrant spirit and diverse interests. He had a natural affinity for video games, fishing, music, and sports, particularly basketball and baseball. Trei's love for cars led him to pursue a career in auto mechanics, having recently secured his dream job in the field. Previously, he contributed to the community by working in construction, building basketball courts that would be enjoyed by many.
Trei's sudden passing in a car accident has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Richard Beckett. He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply: his fiance Mae Hollingsworth, his mother, Maria Beckett, and her fiancé, Travis Ramseur; his father, Jerry Paul Manuel, Jr., and stepmother, Ashley; grandparents Shiela Beckett, Paul Manuel, Sonya Pohoski, and Karen Childress; great-grandparents Paulette and Odell Conley.
Trei is also survived by his brothers, Desrin Manuel, Qualyn Mull, Brandon "EJ" Jacobs, Kaine Jacobs, Bradyn Ramseur, Bryce Ramseur, and Bryson Myers; sisters Si'Ella Jacobs, Aubanei Steele, Imara Steele, and Nevaeha Myers. His aunts Karis Dunn (Leigh), Summer Davies (Prince), Bam Beckett, Sharon Tucker, Lisa, Renita, and Lori, as well as his uncle Jason Suggs, mourn his loss alongside many cousins, including Brandi, Zack, Willow, Adam, Dalton, Brian, Blake and others.
The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Monday, November 24 at Nicholson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2PM on Tuesday, November 25 in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Stony Point Baptist Church Cemetery. His family invites all who knew him to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to others.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Trei not only for the person he was but also for the potential he held. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Trei.
