She was born to Arceen Dean and Roxie (Penninger) Dean on July 5, 1941, in Little Rock, Mississippi.  Bobbie became a member of Hopewell Baptist Church at a very early age and remained an active and faithful member until her passing.

Bobbie greatly loved working with people, her daughter fondly remembers.  She owned and operated Taylor’s Grocery Store in Butler, Alabama for 20 years.  Afterwards, she became a store clerk for the Superstop and Dixie Pak-N-Sak, and later retired from Sam’s Club.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Natacha Fortenberry (William); brothers, James Junior Dean (Dorothy), George Dean (Lexie), and Albert Dean (Joyce); granddaughter Shelby Babbidge (John); three great-grandchildren, Maggie Wright, Wailon Trey Powell, and Johnnie Jean Powell; a host of nieces and nephews; and her very special caregiver, Shay Fraiser.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert C. Tayor, Sr.; her brothers, Johnny Embrey, and Billy Mack Dean; and her grandson, Stanley C. “Trey” Powell, III.

Visitation will be held at 10-11:30 am at the Hopewell Baptist Church located at 7001 Hopewell Rd, Little Rock, Mississippi, on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  Her funeral service will begin at 11:30 with burial to follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Andrew Black will be officiating the services.

Pallbearers for the service will be Kevin Dean, Ruger Dean, Braxton Dean, Brandon Curby, Patrick Butler, and John Babbidge.
